Honors English

I am doing this for school this year along with the normal English. I know that some of you will be doing this as well like Avrair and so I thought that we could post here with and questons or such that you might need help with.

Does anyone know what type of essays we are to do?

I asked Mrs Saunders about it but got a very strange reply. Here it is:

Hello Mrs. Saunders, it has been a while. I was wondering if I could ask you a couple questions about the Honors class.

HONORS: Each student is to read two (2) novels grade level appropriate.

A reader response paper (4-6 pages) is required where you discuss the literary elements and significance of the text within the context of the time period in which it was written.

This is what the attachment said. And I was wondering, the type of essay that you want written, is what exactly?

Yea, I'm a little confusd myself. All I know is that we have to write a 4-6 page report thing, but I don't even know which book it's on, since we have to read 2.
You guys are meaners!!! *crying*I feel so small!

Anyway, what I did was search the books on SparkNotes, print up the "Themes, Motifs, and Symbols" section, and then outline the symbolism and such in my own words.
If you ramble enough it should come out to 4 pages-ish.
(Note: A good one and a half pages of NON-DOUBLE-SPACED text is equal to about three and a half pages DOUBLE-SPACED. That last half-page should count as the fourth.)
